Al-Dossary’s appointment takes effect as of July 1, 2014. The decree was approved by the SRMG’s Board of Directors and endorsed by the Board of Trustees of the HH Saudi Research and Publishing Company (SRPC).

Three years later, Al-Dossary was appointed Assistant Editor-In-Chief of Asharq Al-Awsat at the publication’s headquarters in London. In October 2011, Al-Dossary became the Editor-In-Chief of Al Eqtisadiah.
