Riyadh- A Yemeni resident was killed and seven others injured by a cross-border shelling staged by Yemeni coup militias. The projectile hit a shopping center in Najran city, Saudi Arabia.

The unwarranted fire was reportedly carried out by Iran-aligned Houthi militants based in Yemen.

Saudi civil defense spokesperson for the Najran region Captain Abdul Khaliq al-Qahtani said that civil service members have reported on Tuesday evening the multiple shelling of a shopping center in the borderline city of Najran.

“A Yemeni national was killed by the attack and seven other residents were injured—they were all transferred to hospitals to receive medical care,” Captain Qahtani said.

Responsible local authorities begun implementing necessary measures, Captain Qahtani added.
