The Iraqi National Intelligence Service announced on Wednesday detaining a terrorist working in ISIS military-production activities in Baghdad.
The intelligence service revealed in a press release published by the Iraqi News Agency that intelligence units in Baghdad's Karkh successfully apprehended one of their wanted suspects, in accordance with anti-terrorism laws.
The statement revealed that the arrest was made following precise intelligence information, which involved luring one of the terrorists who was actively involved in ISIS groups, specializing in manufacturing military arms and explosives.
The suspect was captured through a well-planned ambush upon his entry into Iraqi territory.
It was further reported that the arrested individual belongs to a family whose multiple members were involved in joining ISIS gangs.
He confessed to his affiliation with the terrorist organization during interrogation, and has been handed over to the relevant authorities to face due justice.
