Saudi Team Arrives in Damascus to Discuss Mechanisms for Embassy Reopening

A Saudi Technical Team responsible for reopening the Saudi embassy in Damascus has arrived in Syria, in line with the Kingdom’s decision to resume the operations of its diplomatic mission in the country.

The team, headed by Minister Plenipotentiary Ghazi bin Rafi Al-Anzi, has met with Assistant Foreign and Expatriates Minister Ayman Sousan and Chief of Protocol at the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Damascus.

During the meeting, the head of the Saudi technical team expressed gratitude to the Syrian side for the warm welcome extended to the team. Sousan warmly welcomed the Saudi team and pledged to provide all necessary means and support to facilitate its mission.

The Supreme Court has called on Muslims across Saudi Arabia to sight the crescent of Shawwal moon Saturday evening, Ramadan 29, 1446 AH, corresponding to March 29, 2025.

In an announcement on Thursday, the Supreme Court called on whoever sights the crescent moon by naked eyes or through binoculars to report to the nearest court and register their testimony.
