King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has signed a USD-two-million agreement with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to provide essential services for vulnerable women and girls in Yemen, aiming to improve their quality of life, SPA reported.

The agreement, signed via video conference, aims to reach 42,960 women and girls in the Yemeni governorates of Shabwah, Al-Mahrah, Marib, and Hadramout.

Its primary focus is on empowering the most vulnerable women and girls and enhancing the capabilities of those who have experienced gender-based violence.

Under this agreement, a range of services will be extended, including technical and professional training programs, as well as psychosocial and social support and protection services for girls and women.

The agreement was signed by KSrelief's Assistant Supervisor General of Operations and Programs, Eng. Ahmed Al-Baiz, and the Regional Director for Arab States in UNFPA, Laila Baker.

This agreement is a part of the Kingdom's ongoing humanitarian efforts through its dedicated arm, KSrelief. The objective is to provide comprehensive care and meet the basic needs of women and girls in Yemen, ensuring they have access to the necessary support and services for a decent life.
