Saudi Arabia Welcomes Agreement to De-Escalate Tensions between Pakistan and Iran 

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed on Sunday the agreement to de-escalate tension and restore diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Iran.

The ministry aims for the peaceful resolution of all differences through dialogue, in line with the fundamental principles of international law, including the United Nations Charter, and the principles of good neighborliness.

Saudi Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz held talks in Riyadh on Sunday with French Armed Forces Minister Sébastien Lecornu.

They discussed Saudi-French relations and explored ways to strengthen their defense cooperation.

They also tackled regional developments, efforts to promote peace in the region and the world, and issues of mutual interest.

Several high-ranking officials from both sides attended the meeting.

Earlier, Prince Khalid received China’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Chang Hua for talks on bilateral ties between their countries and several issues of mutual interest.
