Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) and the World Food Program (WFP) signed on Tuesday a $10 million agreement to deliver food assistance to people in Ukraine.

KSrelief Supervisor General Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah and WFP Executive Director Cindy McCain signed the agreement.

Under the project, meals will be distributed at orphanages, hospitals, and centers for the displaced, benefiting 141,000 individuals from the most vulnerable groups affected by the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.

This assistance is an extension of the relief and humanitarian work carried out by Saudi Arabia, through KSrelief, to alleviate the suffering of people in need and displaced populations, and support food security in different countries in collaboration with specialized UN agencies.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud issued on Sunday a Royal Order appointing 125 members to the public prosecution as the investigative lieutenants.

Attorney General Sheikh Saud bin Abdullah Al-Mujib expressed appreciation for the Royal Order, which, he said, is a reflection of the support extended to the judiciary by King Salman and Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The appointments underscore the leadership's commitment to bolstering the public prosecution and ensuring its ongoing advancement, consistent with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, he added.
