Saudi Arabia Urges Sighting of Shawwal Crescent Moon on Monday Evening

Saudi Arabia’s Supreme Court called on Saturday on Muslims across Saudi Arabia to sight the crescent moon of the month of Shawwal on Monday evening.

It said whoever sights the crescent moon with the naked eye or through binoculars must report to the nearest court and register their testimony.

The sighting of the Shawwal crescent moon marks the end of the holy fasting month of Ramadan.

The fourth Saudi relief plane, operated by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), arrived in Beirut on Wednesday carrying food, shelter, and medical supplies.

The assistance is an implementation of the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The fourth aid aircraft is in keeping with Saudi Arabia's historic role in supporting the brotherly Lebanese people in times of crisis.
