Saudi Arabia strongly condemned on Thursday Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin’s visit to the Palestinian Jordan Valley, saying the provocative move aims to expand illegal settlements in defiance of all international laws and resolutions.

In a statement, the Foreign Ministry said these violations undermine efforts to restore calm in the Palestinian territories.

It reiterated the importance of ending the war on Gaza, the withdrawal of Israeli forces, return of the displaced to their homes and allowing the delivery of humanitarian aid.

Saudi Arabia called on the international community to assume its responsibilities in putting a stop to all flagrant Israeli violations against the Palestinian people and their territories, stressing the need to hold Israel accountable for its violations that are threatening regional peace and security.
