The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, has condemned the blatant attack targeting the residence of the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates in Sudan.

He called on the Sudanese government to make every effort to protect diplomatic facilities and their personnel.

Albudaiwi on Monday emphasized that the attack represents a gross violation of the fundamental principle of the inviolability of diplomatic premises and stressed the importance of protecting diplomatic buildings and embassy staff according to the norms and conventions governing diplomatic work.

He expressed his strong condemnation of the attack and the GCC’s steadfast rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism that aim to undermine security and stability and are inconsistent with international law.

Additionally, Albudaiwi referred to the statements in the ministerial declaration of the GCC countries, which reaffirmed the council’s consistent positions and decisions regarding the importance of maintaining Sudan’s sovereignty, security, stability, and territorial integrity. He also urged the Sudanese government and the Rapid Support Forces to engage seriously and effectively with initiatives to resolve the crisis, including the Jeddah platform and neighboring countries.

The Muslim World League (MWL) on Sunday praised Saudi Arabia’s decision to provide monthly financial support to the Palestinians to help address the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip and its surroundings.
Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, lauded this historic initiative, which he said stems from the centrality of the Palestinian cause to Saudi Arabia.
This initiative expresses the Kingdom’s firm historical solidarity with the Palestinian people, particularly to mitigate the catastrophic impacts caused by the appalling abuses of the Israeli occupation government, Al-Issa noted.
On behalf of the MWL and its international councils, bodies and assemblies, Al-Issa appreciated Saudi Arabia’s exceptional efforts to contain the crisis in Gaza and address the critical humanitarian situation there.
“Saudi Arabia was able to unify the Arab and Islamic position towards this crisis by chairing the ministerial committee assigned by the joint Arab Islamic extraordinary summit to support Palestinians, confront the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, and break the siege imposed on it,” the MWL Secretary-General added.
He said this resulted in a number of countries recognizing the State of Palestine and demanding that it be accepted as a full member of the United Nations.
“May God reward the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammad bin Salman Al-Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia,” Al-Issa said, wishing Saudi Arabia security and prosperity.
