Kuwait's Defense Ministry spokesman, Staff Brigadier Hamad al-Sagr, said on Wednesday that an F-18 jet had crashed during a training exercise in the northern part of the country, resulting in the pilot's death, according to the Kuwait News Agency.

Investigations are underway to determine the details and causes of the accident that occurred during a training mission, added the agency.

Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz has completed medical tests for a lung infection and is recovering well.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Saudi Royal Court announced, “The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques has finished his medical examinations and is recovering.”

The King underwent these tests following a lung infection, as advised by royal clinics. On Sunday, October 6, the Royal Court reported that King Salman would have medical evaluations.

On October 8, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman reassured the public about the King’s health and thanked everyone who inquired about him.

He prayed for a swift recovery during the Saudi Cabinet meeting in Riyadh on Tuesday.
