Saudi King Completes Medical Tests, on Road to Recovery

Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz has completed medical tests for a lung infection and is recovering well.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Saudi Royal Court announced, “The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques has finished his medical examinations and is recovering.”

The King underwent these tests following a lung infection, as advised by royal clinics. On Sunday, October 6, the Royal Court reported that King Salman would have medical evaluations.

On October 8, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman reassured the public about the King’s health and thanked everyone who inquired about him.

He prayed for a swift recovery during the Saudi Cabinet meeting in Riyadh on Tuesday.

Saudi Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz spoke by telephone with US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, the Saudi Press Agency reported Tuesday.
The two ministers reviewed the strategic Saudi-US relationship and ways to enhance it within the framework of the defense partnership, SPA said.

They also discussed the latest regional and international developments, efforts to de-escalate tensions in the region, and ways to ensure regional security and stability, the news agency added.
