Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has initiated a relief air bridge to provide critical assistance to the Lebanese people in response to the dire situation, amid intensifying Israeli strikes on the country.
The initiative, which is in line with the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, aims to alleviate the suffering caused by the ongoing crisis, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Sunday.
The first plane departed Sunday from Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport to Beirut, carrying food, medical aid, and shelter materials.
In a statement to SPA, KSrelief Supervisor General and Advisor to the Royal Court Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah stressed that this humanitarian assistance reflects Saudi Arabia's commitment to helping people in need worldwide. He said that the Kingdom will continue to provide support to countries facing hardships and crises.
