Saudi Islamic Affairs Ministry to Participate in Conference of Latin American, Caribbean Muslims

The Islamic Dawah Center in Brazil, in cooperation with the Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, is organizing the 37th International Conference of Latin American and Caribbean Muslims.

This year’s conference, titled "Islamic Education in Latin America and the Caribbean: Its Role in Preserving Identity," will take place November 29 to December 1 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, reported the Saudi Press Agency on Monday.

The event will feature official delegations, researchers, and specialists from various countries.

The conference will address several key themes, including the significance and status of Islamic education in Islam and the current state of Islamic education in Latin America and the Caribbean.

It will explore strategies for promoting and spreading Islamic education among Muslim minorities, the role of Islamic education in preserving Islamic identity and social cohesion, and the challenges facing Islamic education in Muslim minority communities. It will also discuss solutions to address these challenges in Muslim minority communities.

Saudi Arabia’s participation reflects its leadership and commitment to Islamic work across various fields. It underscores the Kingdom's dedication to serving Islam and Muslims while promoting its values of moderation and balance.

The participation also highlights the Kingdom's ongoing efforts to address the needs of Muslim minority communities, fostering their connection to Islamic principles and values that promote love and harmony.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, received a phone call on Saturday from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, during which they discussed serious developments in the region.

The Egyptian president expressed his country’s solidarity with the Kingdom.

He also affirmed Egypt’s support for the measures taken by Saudi Arabia to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and stability in response to the blatant Iranian attacks against the Kingdom, which undermine regional security and stability.

The Crown Prince also received a phone call from Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, during which they discussed serious developments in the region and the repercussions of the ongoing escalation on regional security and stability.

The Pakistani PM expressed his country’s full solidarity with the Kingdom.

He also affirmed Pakistan’s backing of all measures taken by Saudi Arabia to preserve its sovereignty, security, and stability in response to the blatant Iranian attacks against the Kingdom.

The Muslim World League (MWL) on Saturday strongly condemned the Iranian aggression against several Arab countries.

In a statement issued by the league's General Secretariat, MWL Secretary-General and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa categorically denounced the aggression.

He described the attacks as a blatant violation of religious values, international laws, and humanitarian norms.

Al-Issa called on the international community to confront these actions with absolute firmness and resolve.

Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah held a phone call on Saturday with his Kuwaiti counterpart, Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.

During the call, the two ministers condemned and denounced the blatant Iranian aggression targeting Kuwait and several other countries in the region.

Prince Faisal affirmed the Kingdom's full solidarity with and support for Kuwait.

The Saudi FM also received a phone call from Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Al-Shaibani, during which they discussed the dangerous escalation in the region and reiterated their condemnation of the blatant Iranian attacks targeting the Kingdom and several other countries in the region.

They also affirmed the Kingdom's right to take all necessary measures to protect its territory and the safety of its citizens and residents.
