Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah received on Monday a telephone call from EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas.

He also held a separate call with his Italian counterpart Antonio Tajani.

Talks focused on regional developments and the ongoing efforts to address key issues in the region.

GCC Condemns Israeli Attacks on Syria

Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Albudaiwi strongly condemned on Wednesday Israel’s attacks on Syria.

"The attacks are a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of Syria, a breach of international laws and norms, and a serious threat to regional security and stability," he stressed.

The continuation of these attacks by are “reckless escalation and a disregard for the international community's efforts to achieve security and stability in Syria and the region,” he added.

He underscored the GCC's “firm position in support of Syria's unity and territorial integrity, and its complete rejection of any external interference that undermines its sovereignty or exacerbates the suffering of its people.”

Albudaiwi called on the international community “to assume its responsibilities to stop these violations, hold the perpetrators accountable, and work diligently to protect the Syrian people and preserve their sovereignty in line with the principles of the United Nations Charter and international law.”
