Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz has issued a royal decree to adopt electronic means, including text messages sent by mobile phone, email or a registered account in any of the government’s automated systems, in judiciary notifications.

Walid al-Samaani, Justice Minister and President of the Supreme Council of Magistrates, said the order aimed to speed up the completion of cases and achieve the legal guarantees of the parties to cases.

In another context, King Salman urged performing rain-seeking prayer on Monday in the kingdom. The Royal Court noted in a statement that the call of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques follows the path of the Prophet Mohammad in performing this prayer.

The statement urged every capable person to perform the prayer.
