Saudi Arabia: Tourist Visa Rules to be Announced in 2 Months

Saudi Arabia is expected to announce the conditions for obtaining a tourist visa in two months, Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH) revealed.

The details about tourist visas will be revealed by the end of the first quarter of the current fiscal, after the approval by the commission’s board of directors.

The authority announced: "the declaration of the requirements and regulations for tourist visas and all approved details will be announced on the date set by the President of SCTH at the end of the first quarter of the current year 2018. It will be published in the official gazette to be implemented."

It added that all details and the list of conditions will be available on the authority's website.

SCTH pointed out that the news about details, requirements, and nationality specifications mentioned in the media are inaccurate and sometimes based on deliberations that have not been approved yet.

Preparations for launching the tourist visa, according to the SCTH, continue to be carried out in full coordination with the ministries of interior and foreign affairs. In the first stage, electronic visa for groups will only be available through tour operators.

Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH), aims to pay greater attention to all aspects of the tourism sector in Saudi Arabia.

SCTH always looked forward to strengthening the role of tourism sector and overcome barriers to its growth, based on the immense tourism potential enjoyed by the Kingdom.

The leadership of Saudi Arabia has sent heartfelt congratulations and well-wishes to Oman on National and to Morocco on the occasion of Independence Day, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Monday.
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, sent separate cables congratulating Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tarik, on his country's National Day.
The Saudi leadership wished the sultan of Oman continued good health, and the government and people of Oman steady progress and prosperity, praising the distinguished fraternal relations that bind the two countries.
The Saudi leadership also congratulated King Mohammed VI of the Kingdom of Morocco on his country's Independence Day.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince wished the king of Morocco continued good health and happiness, and the government and people of Morocco steady progress and prosperity.
