The G20 2020 Riyadh Summit has managed to reflect Saudi cultural diversity through architecture, traditional outfits and cuisine.
Events and activities of the international forum were overtaken by the Kingdom’s heritage and cultural landscape.
The 13 Saudi regions were represented in the details of the summit's work, especially at the G20’s media center and heritage nights.
Ahead of the virtual summit hosted by Riyadh, light was shed on the remarkable diversity of Saudi culture through meals inspired by Saudi cuisine, Arabic coffee originating from five different Saudi regions and a display of architecture styles across the Kingdom.
The G20 media center offered a platform to display Saudi art and to promote attractive and distinctive touristic destinations in the Kingdom such as Abha, AlUla and Diriyah.
Diriyah hosted a heritage-centered night that was attended by a host of journalists and guests that were allowed to visit the Kingdom after implementing Covid-19 preventative measures.
With Arabic coffee being an essential component of Saudi hospitality, a guest corner dedicated to Arabic coffee was set up at the summit’s headquarters. It offered a variety of blends that differ in aroma and consistency.
