Saudi Arabia: More than 700,000 Have Registered to Receive Coronavirus Vaccine

The Saudi health ministry said Sunday that more than 700,000 people have registered to receive the coronavirus vaccine.

Ministry spokesman Dr. Mohammed Abdelali pointed out that the increase in number of applicants reflects the society's increasing awareness to fight the pandemic.

The Kingdom announced nine deaths from the COVID-19 disease and 154 new infections on Sunday.

The total number of recoveries increased to 353,179 after 175 more patients recovered.

A total of 6,185 people have died in Saudi Arabia from complications caused by the disease, Abdelali said.

The 20th Saudi relief plane, operated by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), arrived in Lebanon on Thursday, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The aid package carries relief aid including food, shelter, and medical supplies.
Saudi Arabia is keen on maintaining its historic role in supporting the Lebanese people in times of crisis.
