Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Dr. Yousef bin Ahmad Al-Othaimeen strongly condemned the Iran-backed Houthi militias in Yemen for their attacks against Saudi Arabia.
The Houthis had launched on Friday a ballistic missile at the city of Jazan and an armed drone at Khamis Mushait in deliberate attempts to target civilians.
The Saudi-led Arab coalition intercepted the attacks.
In a statement, Al-Othaimeen expressed the OIC’s condemnation of the Houthis’ terrorist practices, as well as their backers who are supplying them with funds and weapons.
These acts are tantamount to war crimes, he added.
Al-Othaimeen stressed the OIC’s full solidarity with the Kingdom in all the measures it takes to protect its security and stability, as well as the safety of its citizens and residents.
