Oman expressed on Saturday its support to Saudi Arabia’s efforts to fight drug smuggling.

In a statement, the foreign ministry called for developing regional cooperation and technical mechanisms to combat this phenomenon.

On behalf of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Adviser and Special Envoy to the Foreign Minister for Negotiations and Peace Efforts Dr. Manal Radwan participated in a high-level roundtable titled “From Sharm El-Sheikh to Phase II – Consolidating Peace and Early Recovery", the Saudi Press Agency reported on Thursday.

Hosted by Egypt and co-chaired by France, Germany, and the European Commission, the meeting was held at the headquarters of Egypt’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations, with the participation of regional and international partners, representatives of various UN organizations, and members of the Board of Peace.

Dr. Radwan commended Egypt’s efforts to support the cessation of hostilities, the humanitarian response, early recovery, and reconstruction in Gaza Strip. She emphasized the need for all parties to fully commit to the outcomes of the Sharm El-Sheikh Summit, complete the first phase, and proceed with implementing Phase Two of President Trump’s Comprehensive Plan and UN Security Council Resolution 2803, in a manner that reinforces Palestinian ownership.

She noted that the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has implemented approximately 160 projects in Palestine valued at nearly $500,000, 000, while the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has provided $120 million in direct support to the Palestinian government, in addition to its ongoing support for UNRWA.

She expressed deep concern regarding the deteriorating humanitarian situation as winter approaches, stressing the need for aid to enter without obstacles or preconditions, and rejecting the politicization of the humanitarian situation or its use as a tool for pressure or the displacement of Palestinians. She concluded by reaffirming Saudi Arabia’s commitment to working with its partners to accelerate early recovery, in a manner that preserves the unity of Palestinian territory, strengthens the institutions of the Palestinian National Authority, and paves the way for a just and lasting peace.

Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah participated in the Ministerial Meeting on Strengthening Cooperation for a Secure, Stable Maritime Domain, held on the sidelines of the High-level Week of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Thursday.

The meeting highlighted ways to strengthen international cooperation and coordination to safeguard maritime security and address challenges and threats facing sea lanes and maritime areas.

The aim was to help ensure freedom of navigation, secure supply chains, and bolster regional and international stability and security.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz stressed on Wednesday that Saudi Arabia's National Day was an occasion to recall the solid foundations upon which the Saudi state was established.

"By the grace of God, and then through the determination and leadership of the founder, King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman, alongside the citizens, the state was established to preserve the faith and establish justice," he said in a post on the X platform.

King Salman prayed to God to sustain Saudi Arabia's security, stability, and prosperity.
