Saudi Arabia and Pakistan launched a joint naval exercise, dubbed “Naseem Al Bahr 13”, with the participation of the Saudi Naval Forces and their Pakistani counterparts, in addition to the Saudi Air Force.

The commander of the exercise, Rear Admiral Sajer Al-Anezi, stressed that the maneuvers include all kinds of naval operations, such as air, surface and subsurface warfare, as well as electronic and mine warfare.

During the exercise, joint maritime security operations will be conducted across traditional and non-traditional warfare domains, enhancing inter-operability between both navies, he stated.

The Saudi Press Agency reported that the Royal Saudi Air Forces participate in such exercises with several combat aircrafts in order to enhance and unify joint work between the Kingdom’s navy and air forces.

The Saudi Air Force’s participation in the “Naseem Al Bahr 13” exercise is aimed at supporting the naval military strategy in all of its operations in the Red Sea, the Arabian Gulf and the Arabian Sea.
