Parliamentary, Municipal Elections Begin in Bahrain

Polling stations opened on Saturday in Bahrain for the parliamentary and municipal elections.

Bahrainis who had their names registered to cast their votes in the elections have flocked to the polling stations early on Saturday to exercise their national duty, according to Bahrain's News Agency (BNA).

Fifteen general polling stations and 40 sub-polling centers distributed according to the electoral districts throughout the Kingdom began receiving the voters.

Nearly 344,713 people were eligible to vote in the polls.

Saudi, Iranian FMs Discuss Oman-Sponsored Iran-US Talks

Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah received on Monday a telephone call from his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi.

They reviewed bilateral relations, discussed developments in the Oman-sponsored talks between Iran and the United States, and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.

Prince Faisal traveled to Muscat on Monday where he was received by FM Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Albusaidi and several other officials.
