The Jordanian Armed Forces said on Saturday that several soldiers were injured from inhaling fumes while dealing with old phosphorus explosives at a site where ammunition gets destroyed.
An official military source revealed in a press statement, that Asharq Al-Awsat received a copy of, that several of the team members working on defusing the explosives suffered from "shortness of breath".
He added that they were taken to Prince Hashim Bin Al-Hussein Hospital and are in good health.
According to the source, some cases suffered from second-degree burns and were transferred to King Hussein Medical Center for treatment.
