King Salman Directs to Disburse Ramadan Assistance to Social Security Beneficiaries

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has directed to disburse Ramadan assistance to beneficiaries of the social security, with each head of a family receiving SAR1,000 and each member of a family receiving SAR500.

The amount of aid, estimated at more than SAR3 billion, is expected to be deposited directly into beneficiaries' bank accounts in the next few hours, state news agency SPA reported.

Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Eng. Ahmad bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi extended his gratitude and appreciation to the Saudi King for this generous initiative.

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah met on Friday with Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Tom Fletcher in Davos, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The two officials reviewed areas of cooperation and discussed ways to strengthen coordination on issues of mutual interest.

The agency also said that the Saudi minister met Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam on Thursday on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum annual meeting in Davos.

The two officials reviewed the brotherly relations between Saudi Arabia and Lebanon and explored areas of bilateral cooperation across various sectors.

Discussions addressed the latest developments in Lebanon, with the Kingdom reaffirming its support for the Lebanese state, commending government efforts to assert sovereignty and ensure weapons remain exclusively in the hands of legitimate institutions, and welcoming reforms to protect the country’s resources and territorial integrity.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in a cable to Museveni, conveyed his congratulations and best wishes for continued progress and prosperity for Uganda and its people.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, also sent a cable of congratulations to President Museveni, wishing him continued success and further development for the country.

Saudi security forces have arrived in Qatar to participate in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) “Arabian Gulf Security 4” tactical exercise, with specialized units from the Ministry of Interior and the Presidency of State Security joining fellow GCC nations to bolster regional security cooperation and integration, SPA reported.

The exercise is designed to unify operational coordination and facilitate the exchange of expertise among internal security sectors.

By simulating responses to shared security threats, the participating forces aim to enhance their collective readiness and develop innovative strategies to address common regional challenges.
