Saudi Ministerial Delegation Visits Iraq on Sunday

A Saudi ministerial delegation is scheduled to pay an official visit to Iraq on Sunday, reported the Saudi Press Agency.

The delegation will include Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef, Minister of Transport Saleh bin Nasser al-Jasser, Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Abdulrahman Al-Fadli, Governor of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority Ahmed Abdulkarim Alkholifey, Governor of the Saudi General Authority of Foreign Trade (GAFT) Abdulrahman bin Ahmed bin Hamdan Al-Harbi and several representatives of ministries and companies.

The delegation is set to meet with Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi and parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Halbousi.

Discussions will focus on bilateral relations in various fields. Various committees that are part of the Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council will also meet on the sidelines of the visit to tackle political and economic agreements.

Sunday’s visit will pave the way for the Council holding its fourth meeting and for an upcoming meeting between Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, and Kadhimi.

Saudi Arabia Condemns Terrorist Attacks on Places of Worship in Russia’s Dagestan

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed on Tuesday the Kingdom’s condemnation of the terrorist attacks on places of worship in Dagestan, Russia, which resulted in the death and injury of several security personnel and civilians.

The ministry stressed the Kingdom's rejection of all forms of terrorism, extremism and targeting of civilians.

The Kingdom offered sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims and the government and people of Russia and wished the injured a speedy recovery.

The Muslim World League (MWL) also condemned the attacks, saying they violate religious values, international and humanitarian laws, and social norms.  

The league reiterated its firm stance in rejecting and condemning violence and terrorism in all forms and motives for attacks.
