The Saudi government followed up on Tuesday on the Kingdom’s diplomatic efforts to push the international community to assume its responsibilities to stop the military operations in Gaza and allow relief organization to deliver urgent humanitarian aid to civilians.

The efforts have also pushed for reaching a just and comprehensive solution to the conflict that meets the aspirations of the brotherly Palestinian people.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, chaired the cabinet meeting that was held in Riyadh.

The ministers were briefed on the telephone call he received from US President Joe Biden. The Crown Prince underlined Saudi Arabia’s position on the developments in Gaza.

The cabinet highlighted the resumption of talks in Jeddah between representatives of the Sudanese Armed Forces and Rapid Support Forces. The talks are being facilitated by Saudi Arabia and the United States in partnership with the African Union and Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD).

The cabinet hoped that the talks would be a positive step forward towards ending the conflict and reaching an agreement that would establish security and stability in Sudan.

The cabinet reviewed the major events and economic activities hosted by the Kingdom in recent days, praising the success of the 7th Edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII) and its achievements, notably the launch of investments worth over $17 billion.

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) on Wednesday dispatched the first of several aid shipments to Syria. Departing from King Khalid International Airport, the plane carries food, shelter, and medical supplies destined for Damascus International Airport.
Advisor to the Royal Court and Supervisor General of the KSrelief Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah told the Saudi Press Agency that the "airlift will be followed by a land bridge in the coming days."
He emphasized that these efforts demonstrate the Kingdom’s commitment to humanitarian support under its longstanding tradition of aiding friendly nations worldwide. He highlighted the Kingdom's ongoing assistance since the Syrian crisis began in 2011 and Saudi Arabia’s significant role in international humanitarian aid.
Through the KSrelief, Saudi Arabia has consistently provided support to internally displaced Syrians and those in neighboring countries, as well as to victims of the northern Syrian earthquake in February 2023. From 2011 to the end of 2024, the Kingdom's total aid provided by Saudi Arabia to Syria amounted to $856,891,000.
