Secretary-General of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit strongly condemned statements made by the Israeli occupation’s prime minister regarding the transfer of Palestinians to Saudi Arabia, denouncing the rhetoric as unacceptable and completely detached from reality.
"The logic behind them is unacceptable and reflects a complete detachment from reality," Aboul Gheit said in a statement, adding that ideas as the one aired by Netanyahu during a recent media interview "are nothing more than mere fantasies or illusions".
Secretary General Aboul Gheit reaffirmed that the establishment of a Palestinian state will only take place on the land occupied in 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Also, Speaker of the Arab Parliament Mohammed Ahmed Al Yamahi strongly denounced recent Israeli statements suggesting the establishment of a Palestinian state in Saudi Arabia, warning that such rhetoric fuels regional conflicts and threatens security, stability, and global peace.
In a statement, Speaker Al Yamahi reaffirmed the Arab Parliament's categorical rejection of these remarks, emphasizing that they constitute a blatant violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and stability, as well as international law and legitimacy resolutions. He stressed that the Kingdom’s security is an integral part of Arab national security and that any attempts to undermine it are unacceptable.
He reiterated the Arab Parliament’s firm stance against any statements that infringe upon the sovereignty of Arab nations, reaffirming the Palestinian people’s legitimate and inalienable right to establish an independent state on their full national territory, including the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and East Jerusalem, in line with the June 4, 1967, borders.
Al Yamahi expressed the Arab Parliament’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia in preserving its sovereignty, security, and national stability.
