Airstrikes Target Two Yemeni Governorates

Al-Masirah TV, the main television news outlet run by Yemen's Houthi movement, said early on Monday that a series of airstrikes targeted the Amran and Saada governorates, which they say were carried out by the US and Britain.
According to information, the US and British aircraft carried out 7 airstrikes on the Barat and Sufyan junctions in the Amran governorate, as well as on the Rahbah area in the Safra district of Saada governorate in northern Yemen.

The Jordanian army said on Sunday it had killed one person and arrested six others who tried to cross the border from Syria.

Officials say there has been a spike in such attempts in recent weeks by drug and arms smugglers linked to pro-Iranian militias who hold sway in southern Syria.

The army says they have also used drones in their operations.

Damascus denies any complicity and says it tries to curb rampant drug and arms smuggling across the border with Jordan.
