The Taif Investment Forum is scheduled to start on Sunday, under the slogan “Invest in Taif,” with the participation of representatives from Chinese and South Korean companies, businessmen and stakeholders, in addition to a number of officials from Saudi government and private agencies.
The forum aims to highlight the Saudi Taif government as a promising economic destination and a fertile environment for investment projects in various sectors.
Held under the patronage of Prince Saud bin Nahar, governor of Taif, the forum will feature a number of dialogue sessions that would touch on the challenges of clean energy projects, the future of mining in Taif, the sustainability of food security in the governorate, the quality of life in the cities, investment in the sports, entertainment and technology sectors, and the importance of Taif in receiving pilgrims and Umrah performers.
A number of workshops will also revolve around the contribution of women as a development partner, the role of scientific research in technology, and vocational education within the initiatives of Saudi Vision 2030.
A parallel exhibition will see the participation of local and international companies.
In a statement on Saturday, Suad bint Musa Al-Musa, head of the Board of Directors of the Tuwaiq Cooperative Society for Exhibitions and Conferences, said that the forum comes to emphasize the importance of developing the investment sector in the governorate in order to achieve the goals of Vision 2030, which seeks to enhance opportunities for economic sustainability in all regions of the Kingdom.
Musa added that the forum will be the first of its kind in the governorate, and will witness the signing ceremony of investment agreements between local and international parties.
