The Saudi Assistant Minister of Culture, Rakan bin Ibrahim Al-Touq, met on Saturday with Brazil’s Culture Minister, Margareth Menezes, in the Indian city of Varanasi.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of the G20 Cultural Ministers' meeting in Varanasi.

Al-Touq congratulated the Brazilian Culture Minister for her country's assumption of the G20 Presidency 2024, underlying the importance of upholding the cultural agenda within the G20 to highlight the global creative cultural landsacpe and foster the exchange of expertise and information among member states.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to implement the memorandum of understanding (MoU) for cultural cooperation between the two friendly countries signed in 2019.

They also reviewed opportunities to strengthen collaboration across diverse cultural domains.

Over 100,000 Visitors Attend Al-Jouf International Olive Festival

The 18th Al-Jouf International Olive Festival has attracted more than 100,000 visitors over the past five days, including attendees from both within and outside the Kingdom.

Organized by the Municipality of Al-Jouf Region at the Prince Abdullah Cultural Center in Sakaka, the festival offers a range of activities designed to enrich visitors’ experiences. These include Olive Kitchen, Olive Gallery, Oliva Park, and areas for productive families, SPA reported.

The event has become a key attraction for olive enthusiasts, producers, and experts on local, regional, and international levels.
Chief Executive Officer of the festival Omar bin Abdulaziz Al-Hamwan announced that the festival will continue until January 12.
