Saudi Culture Ministry Receives ISO Certificate in Facility Management

The Saudi Ministry of Culture has received an International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certificate in facility management (ISO 41001:2018) after achieving comprehensive global standards in regulations, policies and procedures in the management of the ministry's facilities through the establishment of management systems and quality compatible with international standards.

This certificate was awarded to the ministry after a comprehensive review of the facility management system and access to the strategy and plans of the cultural system in terms of operating the ministry's facilities, which are conducted in accordance with the best international regulations and practices, to ensure an enabling environment for staff, as well as clarifying regulations, policies and procedures in all facilities of the cultural system.

The ISO awards this certificate to organizations that successfully determine their facilities' security and environmental management, provide an atmosphere that helps staff increase productivity, and develop and implement effective facility management.

Public Prosecution, Heritage Commission Partner to Protect National Heritage

The Public Prosecution and the Heritage Commission signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance their collaborative efforts in protecting the national heritage and preserving the Kingdom's national identity, SPA reported.
The MoU entails exchanging information on national heritage protection, combating violations of archaeological sites, and organizing awareness programs to educate the community about the importance of preserving heritage and the penalties for related offenses.
This partnership represents a strategic step to establish a comprehensive framework for protecting heritage sites, enhancing the Kingdom's global status as a cultural heritage destination and reinforcing its leadership in preserving national identity and history.
