The Saudi Ministry of Culture has participated in the recently concluded Artigiano in Fiera Exhibition with a pavilion that introduced Saudi culture, arts, and creativity to the international community.
A group of cultural bodies and commissions participating under the Saudi pavilion at the exhibition held between December 2 and 10 in Milan, Italy held various activities and events highlighting the rich national heritage and arts from various regions of the Kingdom, giving visitors the opportunity to explore Saudi culture in all its components.
The cultural bodies and entities included the Heritage Commission, the Culinary Arts Commission, The Theater and Performing Arts Commission, the Royal Institute of Traditional Arts, and the Saudi Artisanal Company.
The Saudi pavilion reflected the Kingdom's interest in intangible cultural heritage, including Arab poetry as a cultural element of great status in the society, from pre-Islamic times to today, that highlights culture and documents history.
The entrance to the pavilion was decorated with murals, with some poetry lines translated into Italian.
Participation in this international event shows the Kingdom's keenness to be present at international forums, to highlight its history, culture and rich heritage, enable local talents to connect with the international community, and highlight their creative skills in handicrafts, culinary and performing arts.
It reflects the Ministry of Culture's keenness to promote international cultural exchange, which is one of its strategic objectives, as envisaged in Saudi Vision 2030.
