Arts AlUla and the French Agency for AlUla Development (Afalula) launched on Wednesday the new season of the AlUla Artist Residency Program, a total of six programs – five residencies and one alumni program – taking place during the 2024 season.

Artists and designers from all over the world will participate in a rich and diverse range of residencies, spanning visual arts and performance, botanical and landscaping, heritage and innovation, and more.

The new season of the AlUla Artist Residency Program will further establish AlUla as a global hub for creative minds, drawing inspiration from its natural wonders, rich history, and diverse society.

Together the programs encourage artists and creatives to explore the boundless possibilities of AlUla, highlighting it as the go-to destination for immersive residencies.

During the AlUla Arts Festival, visitors will get the first opportunity to see some of the inspiring creations of the AlUla Artist Residency Programs as they preview within the festival itself. The residencies will be showcasing two exhibitions at the AlUla Arts Festival from February 9 to March 2.

The exhibitions will be for the Visual Art Residency and the Design Residency. This collective and artistic initiative continues to establish AlUla as a vibrant cultural program, encouraging visitors to enjoy the remarkable curations of these residency programs.

Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, in cooperation with the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, and the Pilgrim Experience Program, organized the Two Holy Mosques and Nusuk Exhibition in London.

The event coincided with the official visit of Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Tawfig Al-Rabiah to the United Kingdom.

The exhibition highlighted the development of the two holy mosques over more than a century, emphasizing the Kingdom's significant service to pilgrims through expansion projects and pioneering digital platforms like Nusuk. The Nusuk platform streamlines Hajj and Umrah procedures with advanced technology in over 20 languages.

During discussions with Islamic leaders in the UK, Al-Rabiah emphasized the importance of deeper cooperation to facilitate the arrival of pilgrims to Saudi Arabia and to support Hajj and Umrah awareness initiatives. He also highlighted how the Kingdom's digital transformation is elevating the quality of services for pilgrims.

Widely praised by participants and visitors, the exhibition underscored the Kingdom's continuous efforts to develop the Hajj and Umrah system, a key aspect of Saudi Vision 2030's aim to provide integrated services rooted in innovation and excellence.
