AlUla Arts Festival, in collaboration with Khawla Art and Culture, is organizing Al Khatt event from January 16 to February 22, to highlight the rich cultural heritage of Arabic calligraphy.
The event consists of three main sections that reflect the beauty and authenticity of Arabic calligraphy. The "Calligraphy in Tantora" section presents a distinctive installation designed by Sheikha Khawla Bint Ahmed bin Khalifa Al Suwaidi, inspired by one of her renowned works, which expresses the deep artistic beauty of Arabic calligraphy with a contemporary touch.
The "Calligraphy Gallery" section features a solo exhibition by the Arabic calligraphy artist Ghaleb Hawila, besides a group exhibition that highlights the creativity of several artists in a comprehensive display of the aesthetics of this ancient art form.
The "House of Calligraphy" section offers a unique experience blending everyday arts. Visitors can discover products adorned with Arabic calligraphy, including luxurious abayas, artistically designed furniture, and innovative jewelry.
The festival also includes a historic house that has been transformed into an indoor store. Emphasizing AlUla's distinctive cultural character, the store provides visitors with a unique experience that merges history and art.

Makkah Region Deputy Governor Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz inaugurated the Holy Quran Museum, a key attraction within the Hira Cultural District, designed to enrich the religious and cultural experience of Makkah's residents and visitors, the Saudi Press Agency said on Wednesday.
Developed under the supervision and support of the Royal Commission for Makkah City and the Holy Sites, the museum seamlessly blends knowledge with modern technologies to emphasize the Holy Quran's significance as the primary source of guidance for Muslims.
Visitors can explore a collection of rare manuscripts, historical copies of the Holy Quran, and interactive visual displays that illustrate the Quran's preservation throughout history.
