Saudi Ministry of Culture to Participate in LEAP 2025 Conference

The Ministry of Culture will participate as a strategic partner in the LEAP 2025 conference, which will be held from February 9 to 12 at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham, north of Riyadh, under the theme "Into New Worlds."
The ministry’s participation will feature a digital environment within its pavilion, allowing visitors to explore various cultural activities and landmarks across the Kingdom. The pavilion will also showcase the ministry’s key initiatives leveraging modern technologies to promote Saudi culture and drive digital transformation in the cultural sector, SPA reported.
As part of its engagement, the ministry will launch two digital platforms: one dedicated to Saudi libraries and another for cultural learning, aimed at expanding access to knowledge and culture for all segments of society via Saudi digital theater.
Additionally, the ministry will sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Oracle Systems Limited, underscoring its commitment to fostering innovation in the cultural sector through advanced digital solutions.
The participation aligns with the Ministry of Culture’s broader efforts to support digital transformation in the cultural sector, reinforce the Kingdom’s position as a hub for cultural creativity and innovation, and harness cutting-edge technologies to showcase Saudi culture both locally and globally.

The final session of the Film Criticism Conference, organized by the Film Commission, kicked off Friday evening in Riyadh, bringing together a distinguished group of critics, academics, and filmmakers from the Kingdom and abroad to continue enriching the critical landscape and fostering cinematic dialogue in Saudi Arabia.

This Riyadh event is the third in a series organized across the Kingdom, following successful gatherings in Aseer and Al-Qatif.

The third edition focuses on the vital relationship between cinema and place, recognizing location as an essential element of visual storytelling and cultural identity, SPA reported.

The conference's three-day cultural program includes dialogue sessions, presentations, masterclasses, and film screenings.

It features more than 30 speakers and film experts from around the world, who will explore the presence of place in cinema as a visual and cultural space reflecting identity, memory, and social transformations.
