The Saudi Heritage Commission has signed a specialized executive program with the Islamic World Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) to train specialists in registering heritage sites on the organization's lists.
The signing ceremony was held in Jeddah in the presence of Saudi Minister of Culture and Heritage Commission Chairman Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan.
The program is part of the commission's strategy to boost the regional and international presence of Saudi cultural heritage and enhance Saudi experts' ability to prepare nomination files according to international standards.
The commission will manage and oversee the program's implementation in cooperation with ICESCO. The commission aims to develop qualified personnel to effectively preserve cultural heritage for future generations.
