Manga Productions, a subsidiary of the Mohammed Bin Salman Foundation (Misk), continues to advance its creative journey, reaffirming its leadership in content production and the promotion of Saudi culture worldwide.

The company was honored with the Cultural Institutions Award (For-Profit) at the fifth annual National Cultural Awards Initiative during a ceremony organized by the Ministry of Culture at the King Fahd Cultural Center in Riyadh, reported the Saudi Press Agency on Monday.

The National Cultural Awards initiative is among the Kingdom's most prominent cultural programs, launched under the National Culture Strategy to encourage creativity, strengthen national pride, promote global cultural exchange, and contribute to the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

Manga Productions has played a key role in introducing Saudi culture to international audiences through anime, gaming, and graphic novel projects. In a short time, it has established a strong global presence by partnering with leading international production companies and supporting the development of national talent.

The company also pioneered the “Manga Education” curriculum in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Culture, reaching more than 3 million students through the Madrasati platform. It has trained over 4,000 young talents in creative content, adding to its growing track record.

To date, Manga Productions' work has achieved more than 1.1 billion total views across 100 streaming platforms, received over 4,000 mentions in regional and global media, attracted more than 15 million comic readers, and recorded over 1 million downloads of its mobile games.

The final session of the Film Criticism Conference, organized by the Film Commission, kicked off Friday evening in Riyadh, bringing together a distinguished group of critics, academics, and filmmakers from the Kingdom and abroad to continue enriching the critical landscape and fostering cinematic dialogue in Saudi Arabia.

This Riyadh event is the third in a series organized across the Kingdom, following successful gatherings in Aseer and Al-Qatif.

The third edition focuses on the vital relationship between cinema and place, recognizing location as an essential element of visual storytelling and cultural identity, SPA reported.

The conference's three-day cultural program includes dialogue sessions, presentations, masterclasses, and film screenings.

It features more than 30 speakers and film experts from around the world, who will explore the presence of place in cinema as a visual and cultural space reflecting identity, memory, and social transformations.
