The Saudi Ministry of Transport and Logistic Services showcased the evolution of Hajj transport at its pavilion during the Hajj Conference and Exhibition in Jeddah, reported the Saudi Press Agency on Wednesday.
The display highlighted the journey from a dirt road in Mina in 1945 to the intelligent system that is now one of the most advanced models in the Islamic world.
The pavilion attracted visitors with its interactive screens, which featured rare photos and historical documents illustrating the transformation of the scene: from rough roads and muddy paths traveled on foot to modern road networks, tunnels, bridges, safe rubberized pedestrian paths.
It also highlighted the Al Mashaaer Al Mugaddassah Metro Line that has become one of the most important modern transport methods between Mina, Muzdalifah, and Arafat, significantly boosting the efficiency of movement and mobility between the Holy Sites in record time.
The Hajj Conference and Exhibition is being held from November 9-12.
