Chairman of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad al-Alimi held talks in Aden on Tuesday with Saudi Ambassador to Yemen Mohammed al-Jaber.

Their discussions focused on the Kingdom’s efforts to renew the truce in Yemen, ease the suffering of its people and reach a ceasefire with the aim of coming up with a comprehensive UN-mediated political solution to the conflict.

Al-Jaber conveyed to al-Alimi the greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The officials tackled developments in Yemen and the economic reforms carried out by the PLC and government with the support of the Saudi-led Arab coalition.

Al-Alimi praised the Saudi efforts to extend the truce as part of its initiative to achieve peace in Yemen and meet the aspirations of the people in ending the coup by the Iran-backed Houthi militias.

He also hailed the Kingdom’s humanitarian support to Yemen through its various initiative that are being carried out by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center and Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen.
