Saudi Interior Ministry: 5 Terrorists Executed for Attacking Place of Worship, Security Forces

The Saudi Interior Ministry executed on Monday five convicts accused of terrorism.

They were accused of attacking a place of worship and security forces in the Al-Ahsa province and joining a terrorist group.

Five people were killed and others injured in the attack.

The terrorists were identified as Egyptian Talha Hashem Mohammed Abdo and Saudi nationals Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Ahmed Asiri, Nassar bin Abdullah bin Mohammed al-Moussa, Hamad bin Abdullah bin Mohammed al-Moussa and Abdullah bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz al-Tuaijiri.

The executions were carried out in the Eastern Region.

The Interior Ministry stressed the government’s keenness on consolidating security and achieving justice, vowing to punish anyone who attacks security forces.

Saudi Arabia condemned on Wednesday Israel’s publication of maps that show its occupation of parts of Jordan, Syria and Lebanon, claiming these territories as its own.

In a statement, the Saudi Foreign Ministry slammed such extremist acts that reflect Israel’s “intentions to consolidate its occupation and continue its flagrant violation of the sovereignty of those nations.”

Saudi Arabia called on the international community to assume is responsibility in stopping these violations, “stressing the need to respect the sovereignty and borders of these countries to ease tensions and put a stop to attempts to undermine peace efforts.”
