Saudi Arabia Condemns Terrorist Attack in Mogadishu

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed on Tuesday the Kingdom's condemnation of a terrorist attack in Mogadishu on Monday.

The attack targeted the Jaalle Siyaad Military Academy in the Somali capital.

The Ministry expressed sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims, the government, and the people of Somalia.

The Ministry also voiced the Kingdom’s sorrow over the deaths and injuries caused by wildfires in Algeria.

It underlined Riyadh’s solidarity with Algeria and its people, expressing its sincere condolences to the families of the victims.

Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah received a phone call on Wednesday from Somali Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Abdisalam Abdi Ali.

Discussions stressed the importance of preserving the sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of Somalia and addressed regional developments and other issues of mutual concern.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, received a phone call from Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Wednesday.

During the call, both sides reviewed bilateral relations and explored ways to expand cooperation, in addition to discussing developments in the region and the world, SPA said.
