Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah met on Friday with President of the Union of the Comoros Colonel Azali Assouman.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of the Group of 77+China Summit in Havana, Cuba.

Prince Faisal conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to the President and their sincere wishes of further progress and prosperity to the government and people of the Comoros.

For his part, Assouman conveyed his greetings to the Saudi leadership and wishes of further progress and prosperity for the Saudi government and people.

The meeting reviewed bilateral relations and ways to enhance them in various fields as well as the latest international developments.

Saudi Arabia condemned the ramming attack at a market in the German city of Magdeburg, the foreign ministry said in a statement on Saturday.

Police arrested a suspect in the attack, which killed at least two people and injured dozens of others on Friday evening.

The ministry expressed its condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims and to the government, wishing those injured a swift recovery.

Saudi Arabia also reiterated its firm stance against all forms of violence.
