The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, praised the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman to find a peaceful and comprehensive solution to the Yemeni crisis.

Al-Budaiwi stressed that the round of talks with the Houthi delegation, hosted by the Kingdom in Riyadh, is one of the important steps taken by the Kingdom towards achieving peace in Yemen, SPA reported.

The Secretary-General also wished success for the round of negotiations in formulating a permanent and comprehensive solution to the Yemeni crisis.

Saudi Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz met on Monday with French Ambassador to the Kingdom Ludovic Pouille.

During the meeting in Riyadh, they reviewed relations between the two friendly countries and several issues of mutual interest.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Defense Prince Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf, Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs Khaled bin Hussein Al-Biyari, and Office of the Minister of Defense Director General Hisham bin Abdulaziz bin Saif.
