Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz sent a cable of congratulations to German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier on the occasion of his country's Unity Day, reported the Saudi Press Agency on Tuesday.

He wished him continued good health and the government and people of Germany steady progress and prosperity.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, sent Steinmeier a similar cable on the occasion.

Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah received on Monday a telephone call from his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi.

They reviewed bilateral relations, discussed developments in the Oman-sponsored talks between Iran and the United States, and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.

Prince Faisal traveled to Muscat on Monday where he was received by FM Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Albusaidi and several other officials.
