The first Saudi relief plane left King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh to El Arish International Airport in Egypt prior to sending its content to affected people in the Gaza Strip.

The plane carries various relief and shelter items with a total weight of 35 tons as part of the Saudi campaign to help the Palestinian people in Gaza, which was launched under directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

In a press statement to the Saudi Press Agency, Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah stressed that this humanitarian assistance to the Gaza Strip reflects what the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince, enjoys of a noble sense of humanity and great keenness to help other countries.

Dr. Al Rabeeah noted that this airlift will continue over the coming days, where the center is currently considering the possibility of operating a sealift according to the need to ensure the speed of delivery, stressing the humanitarian role played by the Kingdom in helping other countries during various crises.

He added that this gesture reflects the depth of brotherly relations and strong ties between the Kingdom and Palestine.

Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah met on Thursday with Thai Minister of Foreign Affairs Maris Sangiampongsa in Bangkok.

The two sides discussed bilateral relations and explored ways to enhance cooperation across various fields. They also addressed regional and international issues of mutual interest.

Attending the meeting were Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Ambassador Dr. Saud Al-Sati, Saudi Ambassador to Thailand Abdulrahman Al-Suhaibani, Advisor to the Foreign Minister Mohammed Al-Yahya, and Assistant Director General of the Office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Waleed Al-Ismail.
