The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said the Kingdom strongly condemns the blatant Israeli attack on an UNRWA School in the Gaza Strip.

Hundreds of people were killed and injured on Saturday in the Israeli strike on al-Fakhoura school housing people who were displaced from the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza.

The Ministry reiterated the Kingdom's firm stance against the deliberate targeting of civilians, calling for an immediate ceasefire and safeguarding of civilians and relief facilities, including their personnel.

The Ministry stressed the necessity for activating international mechanisms to hold Israel accountable for its continuous violations of international humanitarian law and resolutions of international legitimacy.
