Saudi Commander of the Joint Forces of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen Lieutenant General Mutlaq bin Salem Al-Azima met in Riyadh on Monday Chief of the General Staff of the Republic of Yemen Lieutenant General Saghir Hammoud Aziz.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed aspects of military cooperation and continued support provided by the Joint Forces Command to the Yemeni National Army, SPA reported.

The commander of the Joint Forces stressed the importance of continuing to consolidate the foundations of security and peace in Yemen for the benefit of the brotherly Yemeni people, praising the efforts made by the Yemeni National Army in its mission.

Lieutenant General Aziz expressed his appreciation for the unlimited support that Yemen receives from the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, stressing the importance of joint work to establish security inside Yemen for the benefit and peace of the Yemenis.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, received on Monday a telephone call from French President Emmanuel Macron.

They discussed regional developments, emphasizing the importance of de-escalation and the need to avoid the risk of expanding the conflict in the region.

They also reviewed developments in Gaza and efforts to reach a ceasefire.
