The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), signed an agreement on Tuesday with a civil society organization to operate the Emergency Center for Epidemic Diseases Control in Hiran District, Hajjah Governorate, Yemen.

The agreement was signed by Assistant Supervisor General of KSrelief for Operations and Programs, Eng. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Baiz, at the center's headquarters in Riyadh, SPA reported.
Under the project, the emergency center will be operated to provide diagnostic, treatment and isolation services for patients suffering from epidemic diseases, in addition to providing medicines, medical and preventive supplies, and intravenous and laboratory solutions.
The emergency center will also enhance efforts to combat epidemic diseases among displaced persons and host communities, as well as providing statistical data for the epidemiological monitoring system database and awareness and health education and implementing fogging campaigns, distributing mosquito nets, and disposing of medical waste, benefiting more than 63,000 people.
This comes as per the Kingdom's efforts, through its humanitarian arm KSrelief, to support the Yemeni people and the health sector during the humanitarian crisis they are going through.
