Iraqi Minister of Environment Nizar Amidi has met with a team from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) in Baghdad, the Saudi Press Agency said on Wednesday..
During the meeting, the Iraqi minister received a financial grant provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, to finance projects for surveying and removing cluster munitions and mines in several Iraqi governorates.
These projects aim to bring a safe environment free from mines for Iraqi citizens and improve Iraqis' livelihoods in agriculture and livestock farming. They also aim to support the Iraqi economy.
This support is in implementation of the directives of the Saudi leadership to contribute to mine clearance in Al-Samawah Desert in Al-Muthanna Governorate and other governorates.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud held a phone call on Monday with President Cyril Ramaphosa of the Republic of South Africa to congratulate him for being re-elected, SPA reported.
The two sides also discussed relations and ways to strengthen and develop them in various fields.
They also reviewed a number of topics of mutual interest.
